Static Caravan Site Fees for UK Holiday rentals
May 15, 2008
UK static caravan holiday site fees – A caravan haven site in the North east will cost you around £3600 per year! Not at that cheap is it?
No poll tax to pay but many other extras, electrical appliance tests yearly, charges also appear for rubbish collection, connection charges for the site fitting your gas refill bottle, you are not allowed to fit it yourself!
Draining the system down for winter costs more, filling it back up after winter costs more, frequent caravan wiring tests cost more.
Most parks are open 10 or 11 months a year, this may sound like a decent stretch but the amenities are certainly not open for this length of time.
Haven at Filey Yorkshire, all very nice, but it works out far too expensive.
Also bear in mind the possible resale value, do not take any notice of the site ‘bumf, be prepared to lose a fortune if you sell up you have to pay the site a hefty fee just to sell up, the yearly site rent is not transferable to the new owner, there are many other things to bear in mind.
In short £2000 for a small site up to £5000 for a site with lots of facilities. The fees include rates. The smaller sites open March to September larger ones open for 11 months of the year
If you can afford the outgoings you will enjoy it all.
