Hi Emma, I have the exact same problem I too bought a used car and only realised that the previous owner had also completed the new keepers bit in their name. I was told by DVLA that they had not been informed of any sale or transfer and I should return the new keepers part to enable them to send a replacement logbook, however I am unsure how I can fill the new keepers details over the top of theres as I am concerned that it will look like I have tampered with the document, any help greatfully recieved.

I got a new car a couple days ago without a log book or any tax on the vehicle. I was told by the last driver to send the new keepers form off to dvla and then they can give me the logbook for £25. Since then I have noticed half of the new keepers form is missing I only have my half not their and they had filled the new keepers part in in their name. I have now tip-exed their part out to send off but is this right?
Luckily I will not need the new car until the end of the month but need to get this sorted?

i have brought a car i have mot and inshurance when i brought the car it had no logbook i have sent if for a new one it still has not arrived and its been three weeks i need to tax it because the tax has run out how can i get tax without the logbook

where do u get the code from , i hav a car pass, with 2 codes , a security code and cd chnger type/code, and neither of these work, i have 8 attempts left, i dont have the radio type code that field is empty on the car pass card. please email back soon wher i can get this code from . thanks!!!!!!
