What is a clean break divorce and how to go about it?

A clean break divorce is a settlement where neither the husband nor the wife will claim maintenance or capital(etc money) from each other in the future.

A clean break divorce: You can get the divorce papers from your local court with any guidance notes. The total fees (unless you do not need to pay them ask court staff) will be £300 on filing petition and £40 on getting Decree Absolute.

If you want an order drafting a clean break, you may be able to find a precedent for this online but otherwise a solicitor could draw this up for you.

The court fee payable is another £40.
