My Emancipation
September 5, 2008
What will be at the end of this line?
What will become of this world of mine?
The tears I’ve shed and the life that I had,Once so full of misery, no emotion but sad.
The thoughts that I had and the feelings I kept,
The pain and the loneliness, oh how I wept.
A shadow upon me, never leaving my side,
No place to escape you, nowhere to hide.
But thinking of you will be never again,
A distant thought of way back when.
Seemed forever in darkness and forever in pain,
The weight upon my shoulders through the wind and the rain.
But what will become of me now you are gone?
A tired shell, but freedom from now on.
For there is an end I thought would never arrive,
For now you are gone, I am alive.
