Old Fashion knitting back again

When i was young all you saw in children was hand me down and good old fashion knitting in either boys or girls even the school uniform and it was warm and lasted.
Mind you kids didn’t mind then it wasn’t or mum im not wearing that it was what your parents could afford and we was happy to wear it then.

Even now everyone seem to picking up the hobby again and starting knitting. Its nice to see new babies in bonnets and mittens and booties that either you or your grandparents have bought or knitted.I can remember that people used to knit dish cloths and tea pot holders as well as tea cosy
and they surely kept the tea warm for hours.It also good to see that knitting magazine are on sale monthly i know because i love to collect mine
and trying out the different patterns and either keeping it for myself or selling it on for charity or gifts for friends or family.

And know my sons want to learn you may well say male but there is a number of men out there that want to learn and why not its not just for us ladies.Knitting is the most relaxing hobby its not easy and to be truefully its takes a bit of pratice especially if your learning somebody else to knit
and you try not to laugh if there go wrong and drop a couple of stitches.
Knitting has been passed down from generation to generation and its still a roaring trade.

Choosing so many types of wool to knit with can be tricky and costly but there is always the cheaper places that you can try later on if you decide to go ahead and knit with that dearer pattern.

I also use to love to try my hand at french finger knitting believe me thats harder than ordinary knitting as the nails you go over can harder to get the wool over and you can end up in a right pickle if your not careful.

Then when you made a long snake it was curled up and made into coaster or little circles for a blanket.

When you get much clever there the knitting wool machine but i don’t think that i would ever learn that machine.
