The Only War Of Life
April 25, 2008
This poem was actually written during my high school days. The poem itself actually has more than the one meaning, the lines you read express distress, love and hate. When you take into context the idea of a 16 year old boy writing it, look into the deeper meaning from an adolescent heart. I hope you enjoy reading this!!
Wether you be lost or found
Stolen from rights
Or born in woe
A shadow remains
And haunts to this day
A reminder of dread
A hunting sense
Broken relations in a world of communications
Fractured roads on a map of discovery
To find yourself is to find one another
Yet to lose yourself is to lose the world
It makes no sense to sit and pout
To scream and shout
A time to find what once was here
Regain what was, was lived
Faded away, never to return
Maybe, just maybe, one day
It will re-appear
Stretched from one land to another
But when history is shown
Love & war are abrupt
Always here, never lost
We have war, we have hate
Think about the creatures of the land
They have love, and they have hate!
From cabbage to slug
Then slug to bird
The predator finds it prey
As Saddam, Bush & Blair found each other
Nothing in this land is perfect
And nothing is definatley right
Your mind may scratch the surface
But will never see inside
Open your eyes
