Nokia N79 and N85 Smartphones

August 26, 2008

Nokia N79 and N85 smartphones have been released, these mobile phones are full of even more features than the previous Nokia series(soon to rival iPhone).

The Nokia N85 is a mid-range mobile that’s a cut down compared to the N96 and comes with a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen that not only appears sharper and consumes less power but also boosts a faster refresh rate.

The phone also has an onboard GPS with Nokia Maps, a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, a FM transmitter and a 10-demo games bundle courtesy of Nokia contained on the 8GB card thrown in the pack - you can upgrade to 16GB SDHC should you need it later.

The phone can apparently manage 28 hours of playing music, S60 Operating System, a 3.5-mm headset connector, and comes with HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

As for the Candybar N79, it reintroduces the Xpress-on clip on covers and still crams the same features as the above but comes with a lesser music playback time around 24 hours, a smaller microSD card (4GB) while still sporting a dual LED flash and geo tagging capabilities.

Both handsets will be available next month either as standalone or bundled with contracts.
