Setting up your webcam with Skype

With Skype you can make webcam/video calls and let your contacts see you as well as hear you.
Skype works perfectly with majority webcams, but if you have any issues or problems with skype and your webcam, follow the instructions below to find out wether your webcam works with Skype.

What you need for Skype to work:
1 Internet access
2 Computer
3 Skype account
4 Webcam
1 - Install your webcam.
2 - Download and install DirectX(put in “DirectX” in google or yahoo and download the latest version and install.
3 - Double click the Skype icon to open Skype.
4 - Open the menu for video options. Click “Tools,” then “Options,” and then click the “Video” tab on the left.
5 - Enable Skype Video, check the box next to “Enable Skype Video.”
6 - Open the pull-down menu of devices. Select your webcam from the list.
7 - Click “Test Webcam” (This will open the test page where you should see what your friends will see when they video chat with you).
8 - Click the “Webcam settings” button below to adjust the settings.
