Liverpool physical attractions and places to visit
May 15, 2008
Liverpool Attractions - Architecturally Liverpool is outstanding, it has more Grade 1 listed buildings than any city outside of London, and the city centre (not just the water front) is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Itβs difficult to know where to start, but William Brown Street and St Georges Hall would be the envy of any city, the three graces at the pier head (and the little known fourth building behind the Mersey Docks and Harbour Building which is a funnel for fumes from the Mersey Tunnels but would have any fan of art deco salivating).
Even a non-descript building like Oriel Chambers is world renowned because without it no sky scrapers would have been built.
Listed a few more below, for a great city like Liverpool β
16 cook street, all the buildings on castle street, philharmonic pub, St Georges Hall, the three graces, albert dock, william brown street, town hall, georgian terraces in the goergian quarter, two cathedrals, sefton park, calderstones park, greenbank park, princes park, speke hall, sudley house, princes rd synagogue, formby point, croxteth hall, martins bank and much more.
Just go and explore!
